It is predicted to be quite affordable, which is a nice change, and it is a touch screen, which is awesome — to me, at least, but I like touch screens. They are fun … if you remember to hit the lock when you aren’t using it. Otherwise they are a little awkward. Butt dialing and all that.

The phone’s not great, it is only a 2.0 megapixel, but the Web browser is fast and you get the 3G network from T-Mobile. It plays music, has GPS, as well as stereo Bluetooth. Naturally, you get email, MMS, IM, and SMS too.

But thus far, you can only get it in these two colors — midnight blue and berry.

Specifically, many of them lost the data they had in their phones — permanently, mind you — thanks to a glitch in Microsoft’s server.

But hey, don’t worry! If you lost all of your pictures, phone numbers, addresses, and who knows how much other types of information, T-Mobile is going to compensate you. You get a gift card worth one hundred dollars!

Sorry, forgive the cynical tone there. Although I use T-Mobile, I do not have a Sidekick, so the glitch did not affect me. I know how much stuff I have in my phone, though, and I can only imagine what the affected Sidekick users are dealing with. A gift card seems a little chintzy, I guess.

Fortunately it seems like T-Mobile thought so too, because they are also offer a month of data service for free.

Motorola, which has been struggling quite a bit, is likely trying to make a comeback with this phone. After all, it will be the first Motorola handset to make use of Google software, which allows for easy access to Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking sites. The fact that you can access Twitter will probably be enough to tempt all kinds of tweeting tweens out there.

Anyhow, the Cliq has a touch screen, a QWERTY keyboard that slides out, a 5.0 megapixel camera, and software designed to aggregate the user’s contact information from email accounts as well as social networking sites.

It is readily agreed that this is Motorola’s last chance to make itself a big name in this highly competitive market.

However, apparently T-Mobile is launching this new deal, still, where you can get the Nokia 5130 for a mere thirty dollars. Fact, fiction? Too good to be true?

Who knows? The details are appropriately cloudy and typically vague. Plus, you have to sign a two year contract with T-Mobile to get the deal. Is it worth it? Maybe. It really all depends on your personal cell phone needs.

For instance, the phone has a 2.0 megapixel camera — not the greatest by any means, but okay if you do not take a lot of pictures with your phone. It has an extra long battery, though, and that is pretty cool.

It has Share on Ovi as well as Mail on Ovi. Plus, of course, there are lots of music options and features. Still…

In this day and age, with everyone in the world trying to scrimp and save every last penny, it really helps to have a cell phone company that is willing to lower their prices and truly make it worth while to people who can not afford a lot.

That is why the Samsung Gravity 2 is actually topping out at about $29.99 on the T-Mobile front! This little beauty is a phone that is for the everyday person – it is not super hi-tech but it doesn’t have to be, for it is an entry-level phone and that is truly what people want right now!

Of course, when it comes to mammoth mobile manufacturer T-Mobile, that is not necessarily a bad thing by any means.

Take, for example, the new T-Mobile Dash 3G, which is the update to the original and relatively popular Dash. This smart phone seems to be loads better than its forebear, not in the least because its handset has what reviewers are heralding as a much better camera, not to mention a design which is business friendly and tons more features.

As you would expect from a 3G smart phone, it also offers a lot of different options for messaging, high speed Internet access, and even a web2go package you can use for any number of different things.

This phone has new handset offers a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2MP autofocus camera with YouTube and Picasa uploading support, a microSD card slot with included 4GB microSD card, GPS, WiFi, Microsoft Exchange support and supports quad-band EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA (1700MHz/2100MHz) connectivity. While that is just the beginning of the specs, you get the idea right?

Now for the price – the price, with a 2-year contract is $199.00 and that is a pretty good deal for what you get with T-Mobile in the way of service plans!

The mobile giant is finally making our wishes come true; we just have to wait a few weeks longer.

Next month, the T-Mobile Dash 3G smartphone will officially go on sale. As it slides into the highly competitive market of smartphones, it comes complete with Windows Mobile 6.1 by Windows, an entire QWERTY keyboard as well as a trackball, complete Wi-Fi connectivity, and an excellent display — a 65K color TFT, to be precise.

Users will be able to connect and organize thanks to voice calling and message, email support, GPS, and the phone will even sync up with Microsoft Outlook.

The Blackberry and the iPhone, by Research in Motion and Apple, respectively, are currently dominating the market, followed closely by the Palm Pre. So, right from the start, the Dash is going to have a fight on its keyboard.
